FELT Training

Family members are routinely asked to participate on boards, committees, focus groups, etc. Family involvement is often required for federally funded projects, and many non-profit agencies are required to have a certain number of family members on the board. Unlike professionals, family members do not receive training or professional development, which impedes their ability to perform their duties as well as they could. In addition to these challenges Alaska has a very small number of family members who seem to fill the majority of these leadership roles. Family members must have access to training on advocacy, leadership, and policy in order to be effective in the many roles mentioned above.
This is your chance!

What is Felt?
