ALL ALASKA PEDIATRIC SYMPOSIUM

The Pediatric Symposium hosts a notable list of local and national speakers recognized as leading experts in their field and is the only pediatric-specific networking and Continuing Medical Education (CME) event in Alaska. The Symposium offers Alaska’s community of health care providers and professionals a forum to learn about evidence-based best practices and innovative developments in pediatric health care. The 2024 Symposium boasted a rich and diverse agenda with local and national presenters on a range of topics such as gene therapy, hearing loss, hip dysplasia, Type 1 Diabetes screening and prevention and soft tissue Sarcomas and Retinoblastoma. Of note, was the panel discussion on the future of pediatrics, mediated by former Chief Medical Officer for the Alaska Dept. of Health, Dr. Anne Zink. The panel debated varying approaches to pediatrics from the lenses of primary and specialty care and challenged attendees to consider their own roles as advocates and experts in the systems of care for children and their families. We’re excited for this years 2025 All Alaska Pediatric Symposium happening in November.
