Home Visitors Alliance

The Alaska Home Visitors Alliance (HVA) is a network of home visitors from all home visiting models across Alaska who meet to connect with one another, participate in professional development, brainstorm resources and areas of support, and encourage each other through the daily work of supporting children and families. We gather as a dedicated community, united by our commitment to early childhood development and family support. We recognize that the first years of a child’s life are pivotal, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning, well-being, and success. The work of home visitors is essential in nurturing these foundations and fostering growth within families.

Together, the participants of the Alaska Home Visitors Alliance create opportunities to share knowledge, explore new strategies, and strengthen the collective efforts. The HVA embraces the chances to collaborate, innovate, and empower one another. Together, we can create a brighter and more supportive future for all children and families.

2026 Alaska Home Visitors Alliance Annual Virtual Summit

Equipped for Excellence: The 2026 Alaska Home Visitors Alliance Virtual Summit

Get ready to sharpen your skills and recharge your spirit!

We are thrilled to officially announce the Alaska Home Visitors Alliance 2026 Annual Virtual Summit, happening on Thursday, April 9, 2026. This year’s theme, Equipped for Excellence, is all about honoring the incredible work you do and providing the “how-to” tools you need to thrive in the field.

Whether you are navigating the multicultural urban neighborhoods of Alaska’s hub cities or supporting families in remote communities, this summit is designed for you.

Why You Can’t Miss This

This isn’t just another series of webinars. We are bringing together a powerhouse workforce of nurses, tribal health workers, therapists, developmental specialists, advocates, and educators for a day of:

  • Tangible Skill-Building: Move beyond theory. Our sessions focus on actionable tools that work in high-resource centers and low-bandwidth remote settings alike.
  • Cultural & Geographic Adaptability: Gain strategies that honor Alaska’s deep Indigenous heritage and our vibrant immigrant communities.
  • Burnout Prevention: We believe that fresh perspectives and specialized skills are the best antidotes to burnout. We want you to feel empowered, energized, and ready to tackle complex family dynamics with confidence.
  • Professional Growth: We are coordinating CEUs and SEED Training Hours for attendees to ensure your time with us counts toward your professional advancement.

A Toolkit as Rugged as Alaska

Our goal is to provide every attendee with a “toolkit” that is as adaptable and resilient as the communities we serve. From keynote inspirations to deep-dive breakout sessions, you’ll walk away with practical skills you can use the very next day.
